NEWS — SUMMER 2002 EDITION

Welcome to our online newsletter. Hope you are having a great year so far! Here is a sampling of what we've been up to:

PRO TOOLS HD IS HERE!

We are pleased to announce the installation of a new Pro Tools HD 2 system. This means improved audio quality, approximately double the track count and DSP power of our previous system, and sampling rates up to 192 khz! We have also added frame-accurate video capture capability to facilitate commercial jingle, film scoring and sound design projects.

EXPANDED SERVICES
We are increasingly finding that clients need fast Internet connectivity on the job. Towards that end, we have installed a Verizon DSL line and a separate Mac G3 computer terminal semi-dedicated to Web access, as well as a router/switch/firewall that will permit future expansion. As mentioned above, we have installed an Aurora Fuse video capture card, and Adobe Premiere software on our main system, so that video content can be streamed into QuickTime with frame accuracy. Combined with Pro Tools' integration of QuickTime video, this makes a powerful integrated system for developing any kind of audio for video. This is a big first step in making our facility more friendly to video-oriented projects.

CLIENT NEWS
Ronnie Lawson Productions continues to bring in some of the top NYC vocal and instrumental talent to do their industrial pre-records.

Artist/Production team Susan and Sandy Marshall were in to record, mix and master their new CD "Remember", a collection of original songs and covers commemorating the tragic events of Sept. 11th.

North Carolina rockers "X-Banders" were here to record and mix a song for their as yet untitled CD. We enlisted the help of phenomenal local drummer Chris Benelli (Steve Tannen Band) and Bassist/Producer Lincoln Schleifer's studio, Lincoln's Log Cabin, to cut drums.

Singer/songwriter Larry John McNally is still editing and archiving, but is to be CONGRATULATED on being a NEW FATHER!

Power Pop and film tunesmith Eytan Mirsky (his work is featured in Todd Solondz' "Happiness" and "The Tao of Steve") has been here demoing a small catalog of tunes, this time for the Nashville market.

Recent mastering projects include guitarist Dominic Kanza's wonderful solo CD "All These Years", Susan Palmer Marshall's "Remember", Lemon Juice Quartet's "Peasant Dances" (now in production) and Joe Mannix's solo CD; "White Flag", which features some of the best unconventional pop music we've heard in a long time!
